Principal's Message
Hello current and future Morris Stallions,
At Morris Middle School our campus vision states that we will provide a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment where high expectations are met by working cooperatively as we hold ourselves and others accountable. This vision was collectively developed by our teachers and staff to make a commitment to our students and our community about our purpose in and out of the classroom. We strive every day to create an environment where students feel safe to learn while on our campus. This doesn’t just mean physically safe, we also expect students to feel safe to express their opinions, to be challenged when they learn, to take risks in their learning, and to know that will always be treated with respect.
As a high performing campus in both academics and extra-curriculars, our students are continually challenged and expected to work cooperatively with each other and their teachers, directors, and coaches. At Morris Middle School, we believe that schools serve their community by setting high expectations for students to become life-long learners and responsible, ethical citizens. Our partnerships with you, our parents, and the community are invaluable to us, and we will continue to work collaboratively with you to support your child’s success.
As your principal, I look forward to getting to know each of you and to hearing your insights on how we can accomplish our goals together. I welcome your thoughts, ideas, and feedback. Please know that my door is always open and I cannot wait to see what we achieve together this year! It’s a GREAT day to be a STALLION!
Respectfully,
Rebecca O. Bechtold
